The general nature and purpose of the corporation shall be:

 

*  To conduct activities which are exclusively charitable and educational within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as Amended;

 

*  To provide educational opportunities for, and to increase cooperation among, actors, actresses, writers, producers, craftsman, publishers, artists, art students, and all others engaged in artistic and theatrical activities; and to generally promote the study, improvement, and advancement of theatrical arts;

 

*  To apply for private and public grants for purposes of carrying out the foregoing charitable purposes of the corporation;

 

* To do any other act or thing incidental to or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof.
